Soft Supreme Online Shop

Hi,
does anybody know the Soft Supreme Online Shop (softsupreme.net)? It offers loads of software downloads for unbeatable prices like Office 2010 Home and Business for just 60$. I would like to buy there but hesitate as it sounds a little bit to cheap. They claim to be Microsoft Gold partner.
Thanks for your advice.

another one for my list, here;
http://forums.cnet.com/7723-12543_102-386582.html

That is a list of scam sites.

What I see from that site;

1] The 'certificates', (also one for C|NET Certified Stores), are images only, not clickable, so there is no way to confirm their validity.

2] About Us I reckon I've seen that image before. That office complex seems to pop up all over the place.

3] Their Terms & Conditions includes the following;

2.3 The software we sell is packed into archives, which contain FULL BACKUP COPIES of original licensed software which have .zip format (to open them You need WinZip software);
2.4 The software is in the English language only!
2.5 Software cannot be registered on-line due to certain limitations;
2.6 You will not be able to receive any printed license confirmation;
2.7 You will not receive any CD/DVD, we neither sell CD`s nor ship them
; 2.8 Some software includes ISO files (iso - CD image ) . You need to burn this type of files on CD/DVD and start a setup from a CD. You will get all directions for burning CDs/DVDs

This means.

==========================
Downloadable only and you need WinZip to extract them. Genuine software is never zipped.

Only English. Genuine software has language options.

Software cannot be registered online. Why? because it is pirated.

Will not receive any license information. Yep, because it is pirated.

CD/DVD versions not available. Why not? The genuine versions can be purchased in CD/DVD format.

Some software is in ISO format. Genuine versions are never in ISO format.
========================

Your choice here. But if you give them your credit card or debit card details I wish you luck.

I purchased two copies of Microsoft project and they work fine.

I had to burn the install cd but the provided instructions were concise and clear.

No un-toward charges on our card.

Our spam filter blocked the emailed download link. I called for support and they responded within a a minute or two and I had them send to alternate email just fine.

If they are not legitimate I would suspect that Microsoft would be on them like stink n you know what. Especially since they claim to be a Microsoft Certified partner.

Hi everyone,

I purchased Windows 7 Professional 64-bit from softsupreme yesterday. I received a product key so assumed that it would work on a win 7 full install which I already had. I tried and the key did not work so I phoned Microsoft and they said the key was not for that product. I then sent a query to the support customer area on softsupreme website and got a response by the time I woke up the next day (after a night of freaking out that I had been conned wishing I had come to this forum earlier wink

The key, as it turns out, is embedded within their software which you MUST download from the link(s) they provide upon purchase (otherwise won't work on other install). Anyway, I did that and didn't even have to enter a product key when I installed it. It is activated by Microsoft and everything works perfectly. 99 dollars = great value for full windows 7!!!

Anyway, no problem from me, I say give it a go. It is OEM software which is why it is so cheap - look it up.

Piece out

and did find a lot of commercial software (like Microsoft Visual Studio 10 for $400 in stead of $12,000).

What I was seeing was entirely different. It was an IT Company with an address in Vienna VA and another in India(?). I'll try to find it and post the link.

Thanks ...definitely different than what I saw originally !

Has anybody else had good results from this place?

The two people posting in the affirmative don't have any other posts at all... makes me wonder.

Reply 9 : Soft Supreme Online Shop

then I have to say No, they are not legitimate, for the reasons I gave above.

But the final decision is yours.

Looks like I might have dodged a bullet with this site.

As you have said.. If it sounds to good to be true.. it probably is.

I understand that it may appear odd that these are my only posts however I actually signed up to cnet just to post on here that I had bought from softsupreme and they were legit. After I had bought I was worried I had been duped so I did what I should have earlier and surfed the net and came across this thread saying negative things. Then it turned out to be good and so I signed up to say as much to help others in my position looking to buy.

Your choice to believe or not. My experience is positive.

http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/softsupreme.net is unkind and you should tell them to get their act together.

Hi westmd!

I actually purchased this product a month ago. I was extremely skeptical at first, but after emailing back and forth with the company about the pros and cons, I decided to purchase. It was a GREAT purchase for me! Everything worked smoothly. Basically they send you items to download. You download the trial version, enter the product serial number, and you're in! I have not had any fraudulent activity on my credit card account. It does seem a little too good to be true, but through journeyed.com, you can purchase software at a huge discount. I can see how the company can get the price down so low without packaging and shipping costs.

I hope you have a great experience as I have!

Greetings. I am "mid-stream" with problem with SOFT SUPREME. Trend Micro flagged site, which I went around. Trend is not always correct, I've discovered. I went around Trend because A. There was a "bricks and mortar" address. B. Telephone link which I tried. Ordered PS Elements 8.0 Followed instructions. Turns out to be a TRIAL version. When I entered serial number, came up invalid. So I entered a trouble ticket with SOFT. They promptly responded with a work around: adobe.fix.ex_ which allowed next screen, which was "This is a product upgrade from previous. Supply previous product name and SN." So I ran adobe.fix ex_ again, and it advanced me to a splash screen warning, in big red letters: "Delayed Upgrade. Activated WITH ERRORS. 30 DAYS to Correct." PSElements 8 opened up, and I immediatedly noticed "Registration" grayed out, unavailable. So I went back to SOFT last night, and said basically, I've had it, I've notified BofA, give me a refund and we go our separate ways. That's where I am as of this writing. Obviously a TRIAL version of PhotoShop Elements 8. Must say, they are courteous. Even offered a HASSLE FREE version of PhotoShop Elements 9 for FREE. (Pass the antacid pills...)

After sending me three different serial numbers, the third one worked. But be aware, these are not "full service" programs, which means you will not be eligible for customer support or updates, because you "don't exist" on the publishers system.

they are "Unauthorised copies". Or as we call them 'Pirated'.

Just as MarkFlax points out: they do appear to be selling pirated software. You may have received software that works for you, but you have given out your credit card details to potential thieves. They may be "honest thieves" who are happy with your purchase money, however, you have no idea whether they will try to use it at another time, or sell the information to "dishonest thieves". I would recommend that you check your credit card account daily to make sure, or better yet, cancel your card and get a new one issued, if you want peace of mind.

Good luck.

I purchased from there as well recently and had issues with installation. When I repeatedly mentioned how frustrated I was and how I wanted a refund they said that they wanted to help me and keep trying to get the system to work on my computer. I did and so far so good, since my husband needs it for school and me for freelance, and I've made sure my credit card is on notice in case anything else comes about. I haven't had a bad experience beyond the installation so I'd say try but make sure to use a credit card (NOT a debit card) and if you're concerned than change your number also. But make sure you can get a refund if you're unhappy with how things turn out. Again, I have no issues with the programs so far and am aware of what they offered since I'm familiar of purchasing software straight from the company.

I too checked out this site and it all looked ok. I bought some software.
THE VERY NEXT DAY.
My gmail account was hacked. Spamming all my business contacts.
I started to get spoof PayPal emails asking me to click on links.
The software installed but couldn't update, the original vednor advised me that the key was faked.

Don't do it.

Reply 20 : Soft Supreme Online Shop

Well I must say, I politely requested a REFUND on the program I ordered, and they IMMEDIATELY POSTED the refund to my credit card (takes a few days)but it was there last night.

To their credit, they were never elusive throughout this process - answered my emails the very next cycle, but after going through three serial numbers, I simply asked for my money back.
