LG Bios Update for All Models!!

1- My cousin have an LG laptop (S1 EXPRESS DUAL).

2- He purchased 250GB HDD SATA which didn't work.

3- He need to update his Bios.

4- LG's policy are: We don't give bios files to costumers. << They think we are all noob.

5- So we need to go to it's service center.

6- When we arrive we described the situation to the technician. He asked if we can do the update by ourselves, we say Yes!

7- Then he ask for a blank CD << those niggards!!

8- We purchased one and that the result:



Bootable CD to update bios for All LG laptops: (I don't know if it applicable in all countries, but I live in Saudi Arabia so at least it applicable for all middle east & maybe Europe)

Extract the contents and burn the image "LGBIOS08.iso" file with nero or any burning tool using a blank CD.

This bootable cd IS not user friendly! because its NOT for the public.

But actually it somewhat easy to follow..



It worked for me like this:



I choose the first choice. << since the laptop have internal DVDRom





this the second screen so I just typed: LG <<uppercase.



after that it asked for the Model name or SN number << you can find it in a sticker under the laptop.

Finally here are the list of Bios version for every model << which have an updated bios in the time of this cd (25-1-2008)
