I'm seriously considering buying a W510 with the high gamut screen (I'm a photography buff, and my primary desktop computer has a beautiful Samsung high gamut 25-incher that I love). I have seen some posts here recommending NOT to get the Multitouch screen, although those posts by and large don't really explain why. However, since it's a free upgrade right now, and since it can evidently be disabled, I'm thinking, why not?
All you experienced W510 owners, please weigh in on this issue. I'm interested mainly in your perception of the effect, if any, of Multitouch on the viewing experience: in other words, does the Multitouch screen look worse in some sense than the non-Multitouch screen?
Also, I want to take this opportunity to thank all the people in this forum. I haven't bought a laptop in 5 years, and this forum has been a great help in evaluating the current offerings in the marketplace.
