Ripping music from DVD

I have a DVD that was transferred from a VHS tape. It only has one "chapter" and no menu of tracks or anything.

The VHS tape was a public performance of a musical I was in and I really would like an audio only CD of the music.

Can this be done? What program should I use?

Audacity (found with google) could capture the audio as it played to either wav or MP3. No tutorial from me but widely written about. Free too.

You need a music extrator like iSkysoft DVD Audio Ripper
